Why is fiora getting so much hate? Oh...wait, i know why!

People have just now realized that the meta favor's tanks and bruiser's, namely champions with CC up in top lane that don't necessarily have the best laning phases, take Galio for a prime example. The issue with this is that, fiora is strong against them, her kit is designed as a counter to them, so it stands to reason that her early game power against them is pretty high.

Now while i do agree she is a bit strong right now, her winrate being at 50% and her playright being the highest of all top laner's means she should probably get nerfed, but do keep in mind that she's been building the same for over six months now, that build is full lifesteal and damage usually topping it off with a Spirit Visage(for increased healing of course). Nothing about her build makes her tanky except for one item, the new Guardian angel that gives 40 AD and a good chunk of armor.

The most common build for fiora is Ravenous Hydra, Back Clever and Bloodthirster/Death's Dance(whichever you preffer or both) + Guardian Angel and Spirit Visage. The main issue i see with this is of course Guardian Angel, fiora has been building like this for over 6 months but guardian angel wasn't added until recently. I don't think that's the main issue with her right now, but it's definitely a driving factor behind it.

Now, i did main fiora, i stopped maining her because, and take notes because this will actually help you against her. She does horribly against actual lane bully's, there are MANY champion up in top lane that are better than her in lane and when i mained her, those were meta. Which means her winrate at the time was 49% with a MUCH lower playrate, i remember because i looked it up before trying to main her again. Now there are a couple of champions i would HIGHLY suggest to pick into her if you don't ban her(She is ban worthy right now) and those are as follow's.

Darius Pantheon Teemo Quinn Kennen Swain Kayle Jayce

Those along with SEVERAL other's have very good winrate's against her because their actually good lane bully's, fiora isn't unless she is against someone who isn't good in lane phase or isn't a very good duelist. The final four i'm about to suggest are suggested if your good with them and those are.

Yasuo Illaoi Riven Yorick

Yasuo's lane phase is arguably one of the strongest in the game, over 2000 games he has a 53% winrate against fiora but i don't suggest playing him unless your good with him. Illaoi is very reliant on Skillshots, so maybe high platinum and up you'd have to worry about that but if your good at landing skillshots illaoi is one of the best juggernauts in the game. Yorick is an EXTREMELY strong duelist, with his maiden up he does rediculous ammounts of damage with his enhanced auto's and if you can do what yorick is supposed to and push down objectives like a boss, maybe with new rift herald, not only will Fiora not beat you in lane, she'll never reach her late game at all. Finally, riven is a very strong champion in the right hands, any one good with her can turn a match up into a skill match up and if your better than your opponent your almost guaranteed to win.

Lastly, for nerfs for fiora, i would suggest lowering her movement speed boost from hitting a vital, increasing the cooldown time on her Q when she hits someone(it goes down quit a bit) at early levels and increase the cooldown on her W to 30 early on instead of 24. Her damage in NO WAY needs to be nerfed, its her window of power that does, it's very difficult to outrade her for a tank or non-effective duelist so making her escape less powerful and increasing her cooldown's early should be enough to put her back in her place without hurting her too much.
