Taric, The Gem Knight and how to bring him back to viability

First of all most of you are probably like "who's taric" and "what does he do again." Just wanna say he still exists and as one of my favorite champs since season 1 (and the reason I'm in gold right now) I want to see Taric moved into a position where it fits his identity and he isn't outclassed by other supports who can do his job better.

Taric in my opinion is a walking aura who has both buffs and a debuff, much like Sona but A LOT tankier. He is able to bring very powerful and one very unique aura to the game. So my goal with this thread is see if we can move a lot of his power into buff/debuff state.

There's only 2 abilities I want to adjust and that is his Ult and his Dazzle(e)

One of the biggest problems is Taric's E.

  1. Offer little to no counterplay (point and click)
  2. Long travel time means that enemy can get away from it and by the time it lands it takes awhile for you and your carry to catch up
  3. Overall just a very boring skill

Solution: Dazzle 800 range(up from 625), 75 mana(same), and Cooldown 20/18/16/14/12(weaken early pressure 18/17/16/15/14)

Taric fires a blast of dazzling light in a straight line after colliding with the first enemy it stuns them for 1.5 seconds and bounces in a straight line towards the nearest champ. If another champ is hit only half of the stun duration and damage is applied.

Goals: The goal with this change was to give a strong point-and-click counterplay along with adding a bonus effect for good manipulation of enemies positions.

**Martyr **(formerly Radiance) Range 1000, Cost 10% of Max health, Cooldown 100/80/60, Damage 150/200/250 (50% AP)

Activating Martyr deals damage and snares all enemies for .5 seconds and gives all allies within range a shield equal to 8% of Taric's max health and also grants 10/15/20(+3% of Taric's total Armor) AD, AP, MR, and move speed. Every second Martyr is active it consumes 10% + 2%(so 10%, 12%, 14%) MAX health. Also for every second Martyr is active the Aura strength increases by 10%(up to a bonus of 50%).

Taric's basic attacks during this time also heal taric for 3/4/5% of his missing health

Goals: The big thing here was to make Taric feel like the "life loving" champion he is and placing all others before him. The health cost delivers a lot of decisions to Taric player "should I keep this on and risk it or should I turn it off." And gives the option to kill Taric quicker (since he's helping them out) or just stick it out.

So tell me what you guys think because I really think these changes will move Taric back into viability. :D
