Alright I just got my ass kicked by an as . This is such an insult! This are the type of champions I should be killing very easily in a 1 v 1 situation. But what the fuck without the sustain that we had in the S5 I feel like an Akali or Kat laning vs. range mids. So help me out! What are you guys building as starting items with talon? I used to have a lot of sucess with Crystalline Flask and The Brutalizer with some Tier 2 Boots early game. But both items are removed and the replacements left for them are not as good. I'm almost not having any luck bursting anyone down from 90% to 0 or 80% to 0.

I'm currently trying out the Stormrider keystone. I'm also building + > > > > > > or > . This build is not working for me. Anybody got any suggestion? I kind of want reasons behind the choices you're making for you build if you provide any.

Why should u be able to 1v1 an assassin, whos primary job is to be able to remove you(adc) from existence?

i play a lot of talon, unless you get ahead early with roams its difficult unless you get to full build and farm well. But you dont want to build last whisper as it only works based on armour that people actually build, try going

Just start long sword and 3 pots. Last hit, once you hit level 5, begin raking with purpose, i.e getting cs+hitting enemy champ. By level 6 hopefully their health is about half and suddenly your kill potential is astronomical. I'm not quite sure how Ezreal beat you in lane. His Q is nullified by creeps, if he was AP, then I suspect you got hit by W a lot, E is too valuable to use offensively vs a Talon, and his ult is not so practical in a direct fight.

To be honest, you just played versus someone who was significantly better than you. Ezreal of all ADCs is awful vs Talon. If this wasn't laning phase (unclear by your post), then he was just really fed. However, the Marksman update and new items didn't help Ezreal really at all. He's still about the same.

My personal build for most games:

Long Sword, 3 pots Rush Tiamat into Brutalizer/Hexdrinker (Depends on how well the enemy AP is doing) Boots somewhere in there Finish hydra, finish youmuus (Havent really played talon since end of s5 so no more brutalizer, adjust as such) Last whisper Black cleaver Maw/GA.

Idk how good Tiamat is anymore because of its big nerf so maybe that's not a rush anymore. I know most people swear by Brutalizer as a rush item (Or serrated dirk nowadays) however I just found better results from the raw AD and active of tiamat. However, maybe not so much anymore.

I'm a Talon main and I just had to deal with this match up yesterday. If you are looking me up, check dilwins21 on NA Server. This patch I start with corrupting potion almost every game. Ezreal is going to work you in lane. There's norhing you can do about it. Try and cs > he autos you behind minions, and his w hurts like a bitch. Approach him > he hugs tower and pokes you.

There are a couple ways I like to deal with this.

give up cs and wait for a jungle gank. 1- 2 attacks from a jg and a combo by you at lvl 4 and he should die.
take minimal dmg and get the cs. As you approach the end of your potions (make sure it's corrupting), Shove the lane and back to buy and refill. Then scurry asap back to lane. If he gets close enough for a w, hit him with it. You should stay close in cs to him with this approach. Watch your map for a gank opportunity and shove lane right before you seize it. It's a lot easier to kill the rest of his team than to kill a good ez mid.
if you are confident in your abilities you can e to a minion and throw an immediate w his way while backing behind minions before he can retaliate. I usually do this while a corrupting potion is ticking because the burn is really useful for the trade. Make sure not to do this unless the jungler is present elsewhere or you have decent vision. After enough of these he should back or be in kill combo range.

Hope that helps. Don't buy last whisper at all in this match up. Doran blades when behind is never a bad idea.

You shouldn't be playing talon hes not viable right now laning is harder and his itemization was gutted.
