Random Lag

I live less than an hour away from Chicago servers my ping is normally at 28 and last night i was playing on one my alts i disconnected and reconnceted in the same game and my pings been sitting at 95-170 consistently my router has been reset twice to try and resolve everything to normal and still nothing. I have ran a speed test and my ping and my speed is currently at my normal rating which is 6 mbs. I'm not sure how to resolve or fix this because theres nothing that should be causing the lag. everyone who ive played with has said their pings been fine, so im wondering if its just me or whats going on. I have even reset my DNS.
