So whats happened to Aatrox?. I've not seen him for a very long time. Even after his new skin.
How is he right now?. Ive never played him, and never play against him (Im in top most games), and I want to give him a try...
Thoughts?
Still waiting on a reason to pick him over Warwick.
If you value your IP i wouldnt waste it on Aatrox. Wait till they rework him because riot is scared shitless to meaningfully buff him.
I mained him for a while in top lane and jungle. He's okay. No matter what composition your team has, his only real ability is to split push.
Yes he can teamfight, with the AoE KnockUp/Slow and that Ult hitting everyone, but he's very squishy. If you buy AS to make use of his W, then you get little damage in place of sustain. If you build tanky with SotRK, he seems to not do much damage. When he's not squishy, he does little damage.
I still find him fun to use, but he has almost no favorable matchups. He loses to most everyone. He's like Jax....but Jax outduels him.
He was good but then got gutted.
He suffers from most melee fighters, to squishy and die to quick or do little damage if build tanky.
But while Tryndamere has immune to death, Yi immune to slow+Q target, Fiora %health damage later, etc. Aatrox....has revive that doesn't help much if he revived surrounded by enemies.
Devourer, Bortk, hydra, zerkers, SV, randuins. I've seen him 1v4 because his blood steal and blood price are every other hit now, as well as bortk being applied more and the hydra aoe (not signle target) being applied more. Huge increase if you can juggle them right.
Nothing happened to him. He's in a decent spot. There's just no reason to pick him over a Champion like - say - Riven at the moment.
He's also been a pretty bland Champion since release. When he was coming out they tried to pimp his E as an interesting mechanic because it's a 'V' shaped slow. You know that's a problem when THAT'S your selling point.
