Morde will never be played in place of a marksman

I know you want to make champions that can fill niche roles, and normally I'd enjoy these changes if there wasn't one depressing fact about the game: No one, NO ONE will want anything other than a marksman in the place of a marksman, and he will be played in the spot of a marksman, if he has no CC he will be played that way. The thing is (especially in ranked) people love the meta, live and die by it; and when you threaten that precious meta, people get mad, report you to oblivion mad. I know you want to turn this guy from a toxic midlanner to a big BFF bot lane guy, but as long as this meta exists, people will only play the things in that meta. Morde will only be seen as a troll pick if these changes go through, and judging by how people are looking at these planned changes, I'm not alone on this. No matter what you say to the community about how much you want these changes to go through, all anyone will hear is: "Morde is troll pick now, do not play."

Literally nobody is going to play Mordekaiser now because nobody wants to take him bot instead of a fucking ADC.

Meanwhile Solo Lane Mord is a literal fetus from early to mid game so he can get a weaker Late than current.

If Riot doesn't realize how badly they're gutting him, he wont be played at all whatsoever anymore, except for new players who want to experience the novelty of controlling a dragon for 30 seconds.

He's getting gutted across the board. All of his stats, base MS, every skill, nerfs nerfs nerfs. His E starts at 35 damage rank 1 and caps out at 155, while still having complete garbage scalings.

This is especially true after the armor nerfs. ADCs will be the new meta and will fill top and obviously bot lanes. Being so relevant there is no way somebody will pick Morde instead of adc without being trolled or considered a troll.

That's the contradiction now, isn't it? Morde "ADC" (APC? That term gets used for the mid laners a bit. Bot lane carry? we're going to need a new name here) is his meta role. They may not be happy with you not picking a marksman, but if they're sticklers about the meta they can't possibly argue that Morde should go anywhere else.

So if someone locks in Morde bot, the rest of the team has either got to get use to it or dodge. But then they're dodging a meta pick.

I'm excited to see how this whole experiment goes. I could easily see myself trying Morde out if it looks like it has a prayer of working.

OH NO THEY'RE MESSING WITH THE BELOVED META

Seriously, these are interesting changes. First Bard introduced in a meta without roaming, now this Morde rework. I can see it. This change is for those people who like pulling off a Alistar/Yasuo or J4/Leona bot lane now. Besides, it's not like there were a ton of people playing Morde now.

Mid is usually An AP Mage because they increase in power in the early game with more points into their abilities and they typically have either massive burst or CC for ganking. Top is usually a Bruiser because they increase in power with raw Scaling from leveling up, and tend to be harder and harder to kill as the game progresses. ADCs were usually bot with a support (because squishiness) because they could control the Dragon, can only be ganked from one side, and they could take all the farm, because they scale better with Gold than any other role. Consequently, the support is there because they don't NEED the money because of strong ability mechanics that don't scale particularly well with levels or gold.
