Nerf Master Suck Town, we need you.
And what better time to leave R&D to return to Gameplay/Balance than now with the Irelia rework approaching?
- Bruisers were flat-out forgotten about in RR/S8 and this honestly ISN’T excusable.
- ADC items are absurdly underpriced.
- Marksmen can now buy range with their crit; synergizing with a magic damage AoE of considerable damage.
- Assassins have delayed burst; but also have an item to circumvent this new ‘design’ issue.
- Many non-assassins have old Assassin burst.
Much more could be listed. And can we just be honest about how poorly handled Season 7 as a whole was? Why does there feel like such little concern for game balance/health/satisfaction over the last year+?
It’s as though the teams responsible for balance/gameplay quit caring or lost their passion for League. Morello by no means was perfect, but do you not think it might be healthy to bounce ideas off some different people — some that weren’t involved in the last season preferably?
With how balance and tuning has been handled over the last season+, I genuinely feel like I’m playing a game in which the developers now care more for enticing new players and generating revenue than creating a fun, balanced, healthy MOBA for its players. It’s as though we may be better off bringing in a few fresh faces, fresh perspectives, and attempt to restore League to a game that isn’t merely shields, heals, and explosions of unparalleled proportions alongside neglect of player agency&satisfaction.
League has come far, evolving in some ways and regressing in others. But as someone that doesn’t want to see the satisfying gameplay I’d known for years be lost and in time, unattainable again, I beg you to find some help for game design or change your approach to the game/classes.
