8.11 pro play... what it means

Notice how in every league that's had pro play on the new patch... people are playing bruisers and mages in place of adc's on at least 1 side? Just like the singed mains who decided to int in high elo in order to try to stop riot from giving singed much deserved nerfs, adc's will use this to cry out for buffs. And maybe they honestly deserve some early game buffs. Not a ton, but something.

But to handle this correctly, their buffs to early game needs to be countered by nerfs to their hyper outscaling late game power curve so that it falls more in line with other champs' late game power levels. But if history has anything to say about this... nothing will be done to their late game power... and this will lead to early game buffs making them completely equal to other roles early game and again god tier late game - untouchable. Which will lead to another cycle of pls nerf adc. I said it with the adc item rework... improve adc early game (not to point they counter every melee toplaner so that melee's can't farm and mages and assassins can't be played mid... but so that they can farm if they play safe w/o fear of being tower dove non-stop. And in exchange for this... reduce their massive power advantage late game over MOST other champs - basically anything other than adc-esque champs like yasuo.

So while smoothing out the power curve of adc's to be improved early (but not lane bully in mid, top more than they typically are) and reducing it late (to give other roles/champs the fair chance they deserve) would be the logical thing to to, I don't think it will happen sadly. Riot HAD the chance to do this with their adc update - and I asked for it, along with probably several other people - but of course they don't listen. Just like with tank ekko in the past. Just like with camille when she was freelo. Just like with galio ap update where he was a tank and an ap assassin all in one and nearly everyone was telling riot it would be a problem BEFORE they'd even played it... because stats alone screamed how retardedly op it would be. Etc. etc. But they don't listen.

So... enjoy melee and mage everywhere while you can guys... cuz I smell op adc meta incoming somewhere in the next few patches. Flood the boards with posts asking for actual balance. And maybe, just maybe Riot will balance adc's properly instead.
