Anyone else find Poppy's ult unsatisfying?
When I use Poppy's ult for peel, I feel like it doesn't knock people nearly far enough, and that I'd rather be using a different peel ability. One that's more reliable, that takes an enemy out of a fight for longer, one that could more effectively peel multiple enemies, or one with more control over who I actually peel.
When I use it for a quick knockup or for damage, maybe to set up a good EQ, it doesn't feel "ultimate". It feels just like an Alistar Q, except actually weaker because it CCs them for a shorter time and makes them immune while they're airborne.
I honestly don't see the point in Poppy's ult knocking enemies towards their base if its not actually going to put them back into their base. A fully charged Poppy ult might as well knock the enemy all the way back to their fountain - otherwise it will feel unrewarding for a low-damage skillshot ultimate with a long charge time.
Both the use cases of Poppy's ultimate feel underwhelming, which wouldn't be nearly as much of a problem if it had more than two use cases. Being able to knock enemies a variable distance based on how long you charge the ultimate could be a cool thing, but since you can only launch them one direction, the flexibility that the charge time could provide is essentially nonexistant. If you compare Poppy's ulti to someone like Lee Sin, it really starts to fall flat. While he can knock people directly up right next to him, his ult can launch a target in any direction, is more reliable by virtue of being targetted, and can deal with multiple targets more effectively than Poppy's ult despite being single target. On top of that, Lee Sin's ult also does shitloads of damage.
I can't possibly be the only person who feels this way about Poppy's ultimate, can I?
