4K Resolution Update

I saw that for the 7.24 patch, 4K support has been added to the game. I'm ecstatic that 4K resolution is being looked at finally, but the largest problem I have had with it is the Cursor sizing, which is the one thing that was singled out as still not supported. This is by far the biggest problem with playing in 4K, it is an extreme disadvantage when your cursor is so small. It took me until almost the end of Season 7 to notice how much it actually impacted my gameplay. I was HARDSTUCK in Gold 5 since I started using 4K resolution (last 2 seasons I have placed in Plat5/Plat 2). Once I shifted back to 1920x1080, I immediately noticed an improvement in my gameplay and started winning games again, nearly got back into Plat in a couple weeks.

My question is why is it so difficult to fix? Is it being given up on? I haven't been able to find ANY comments from Riot regarding 4K. If someone could provide me with some insight, or a link to any previous comments from Riot, I would greatly appreciate it.

What I can commit to is looking into it. Converting the healthbars over into new tech allowed us to make them support 4k. Cursors and minimap icons and some other less important UI bits are still way too small as you noted.

Converting those other elements is not simple and not something we would want to take on, but there might be a stopgap solution which just allows them to scale.

Riot only makes money from spamming out champs and skins but fixing the UI for 4K doesn't make them any money so thats why they put off fixing it.
