Pantheon's ultimate needs serious help
Besides pantheon's current low win chance, I believe its ultimate needs serious help. Basically, other fighters and champions in general have an 'instant damage' sort of ultimate. You activate it and you have a predictable, even if skill requiring, damage dealing source.
With pantheon this is not so. Its wind up timer and its activation timer are so stupidly long, that in mid to late game everybody can simply flee the damage. And not in a "flash out" / "dodge skill" kind of way, but simply by walking away. Not to talk about teammates' ability to keep an enemy in the ult area or such. This is difficult even when they're on fucking teamspeak.
I'd be really curious to see a champion skills damage chart. Would like to see where panth's ult places at.
Additionally, I've looked at champion update reports over the years... and seems that apart from his latest mana increase (which everybody else got) he was never updated in at least five years!
I'm not discussing the ultimate's idea overall, but its effectiveness in combat:
- can't be used to initiate mid to late game, without giving a free kill on a ganged up enemy
- can't be used effectively as a damage dealing source: other fighters (ie. fiora, irelia, tryndamere, yas, vi, etc.) have a direct or active ultimate that casts instantly and gives enemies something to fear
But pantheon's ult? can't be cast in the middle of a fight (1vs1 or NvsM):
- its wind up takes so long, you'll be either disabled (even a sneeze disables his ult) or down half health by the time it fires
- its landing phase takes so long that even if you survived its wind up, you'd land on an enemy that fled, and that comes back with HIS ult and your half health
