I just finished my 10th placement match in ranked for season five. At the conclusion of last season, I ended in Silver 2, peaking at Silver 1 after being placed in Silver 4 after going 5 and 5 in my placement matches then.

So I went 5 and 5 in my placements just now, and I was placed in Bronze 1!?!?!? Almost a full league below where I ended! With 5 and 5 being such a neutral score, I don't see why I would get "demoted." I 'm not saying "I don't belong in bronze" or anything like that. I'll make it back to silver soon as I had no trouble in Silver last season. But I just don't understand. I DEFINITELY have not gotten WORSE since last season, and I'm miles ahead of when did my season 4 placements (where I went 5-5 and got in silver 4). I just don't really understand my ranking. And I definitely had high silver MMR as I was matched every game with other silver players or low gold players, I never had a bronze player in my game unless I was duoing with a lower ranked friend. (I played a lot of games with some of my friends who I got into league, are losses against low levels really heavily against your MMR?) Anyone who can explain would be helpful

Win rate has very little influence over your placements it simply adjust your previous hidden mmr which is what really determines your new rank.

How many wards did you place per match? were you keeping up in cs? did you place wards in right spots? Did you place ward at 3:30 in the right spot? Did you leash? How many dragon/tower/inhib assists. How many barons? What was KDA? What were match times? What champs did you play? Did the champs you play as perform at their performance levels higher than their current? How often did you back? How many team fights were you in? How often did you push?

Well i just checked your mmr and its 1310 which is higher than your avg bronze 1 so I assume the system did a soft reset on your mmr, not that your mmr actually dropped too much. IF you win your games you will mostly likely get 25+ lp per win since your mmr is higher than your actual elo. If you keep your winning streak you should be climbing silver pretty fast. It's a bummer though you got placed in bronze 1 having to go thru a 3/5 promos for silver. Maybe if you won a couple more in your promos you might have gotten S5 at best.

It's funny because it does... your personal performance affects team gameplay, as does CS. I see why you dropped. Look up how they re did the mmr system and shut your trap, cause you're spewing shit from your ignorant mouth.

Just wanted to update, i've been doing well and got back into Silver off of an 8 game win streak, getting 30ish LP for every win as was predicted. I went 8-2 in Bronze so i didnt have a problem, seems elo hell doesnt exist. I'll have no problem getting back to my previous ranking, sorry for this pointless post i guess system is working as intended with soft reset, this is my first time changing seasons and i was confused, thanks though
