First pick sucks now

In the old ranked queue, First pick was good. It was because if you were first pick, you could almost always get the lane you wanted and even though there would be a chance of being counter-picked, you had the ban so that you could ban out your counters. But now, it's almost the opposite. Not only has the new ranked system enabled players to almost always get the lane that they wanted (primary/secondary roles), the last three picks each get to ban champions-> meaning that they could ban out the counters. Now what about the first pick? They do get the roles they want, but it is so unfair for them as they get countered but yet cannot ban them out. Now since almost everyone gets the roles they want, can we revert it back so that the first pick could have the ban power again? What are your thoughts?

Please no. First and second pick have the highest chances of getting their desired champions, while the bottom three picks finally have some degree of agency during champ select. And let me tell you, as someone with a statistically improbable amount of last picks under his belt, it fucking sucked in the past.

Leave the new system as is.

Disagree completely, The amount of power first pick had before was too much, as he both banned the champions AND picked the champion he wanted (often banning the counters of his champion or champions that his teammates might want to pick) while fifth pick got completely shafted by getting both his role and prefered champion taken.

Now first picks get to claim champions, last picks get to claim bans, it's the fairest system yet, for a 5player game with 3 bans.

I could see people wanting MORE bans, but shafting the last pick again shouldn't be acceptable.

Supposedly first pick has the advantage of being able to snap up highly desired champions before anyone else can pick them.

For people who just want to play their favourite/best champions rather than whatever is currently FotM or OP, it's the worst position.

Giving them a ban would be nice, but I certainly don't agree with giving them all the bans again.

Completely agree. First pick (or even second) is a huge disadvantage. First 3 picks should get the bans, last 2 get to pick counters...

Only people that abuse OP champs (rather than banning them) actually would want first pick... if you're playing who you're good at, you want a late pick.
