Dodging

Can we pressure riot into making the punishment for dodging harsher? Nothing is more frustrating about playing unranked games than the amount of dodging that occurs. I often find myself in 3 or 4 lobbies, and wasting 15 minutes (if it's draft pick) before I get to play a game. It irritates me knowing that someone could dodge in my first lobby and still find a game before me because I run into 2 more dodgers before I can even play. I think the wait should be increased to 10 or even 15 minutes. 5 is hardly a punishment.

It increses the more you dodge. Anyway the problem with increasing the wait time to start is that somethimes people just aren't able to connect because of internet (typically rito's servers) issues. The last time I "dodged" I wasn't able to load into the game because my client was broken (I didn't ever get to the loading screen).

No, because sometimes it is necessary. If my team comp is complete trash (full AD or AP) or there's a troll in there, I'm dodging. I will not spend 20-30 minutes of my time playing a game I am more likely to lose in when I can wait a measly 5 minutes and hope for a smarter team.

It is a necessary evil.

Because if I am at 90 lp, I dont want to go into game with AP vayne jungle, on the off chance this guy knows what he is doing.

I'm pretty sure it increases the more you dodge. I dodged twice in a row once, the first time was on accident, I don't even remember what happened but somehow League got closed, and then I had to wait 5 minutes for that obviously. The second time was on purpose, because I was trying a new champ I bought, I think it was Shyvana, and I meant to get into a bot game but instead got into blind pick, so I left and they gave me a 15 minute penalty

So I'm pretty sure if it adds up like that, that's good enough. I agree, I deal with people dodging ALL the time. I was in queue once for a little over 20 minutes because of it, and then I just quit because it got so fucking annoying, but I don't think there's much else Riot can do about it

I feel that Riot shouldn't force you into a game with a player you reported the previous game. Sounds like common sense there? Why should I get punished for avoiding a known troll so I don't break summoners code myself? :P Just a thought that if you report someone they cant play on your team for another 30 days minimum.
