Smite mid

I think it's incredibly messed up that a player can take smite mid and say in champ select "I'm taking your raptors" to the jungler, especially a jungler who can clear raptors fine and get away with it. I get smite mid as a strat when everyone is on board/the jungler can't really clear raptors well but it's just crazy what people think they're entitled to and how the jungler is more likely to be banned than the mid in that situation because talking back at all seems to be invariably punished.

Take my chickens and I'll just start drive by smiting your cannons. Easy. They take my farm then get so angry when I take theirs. Funny how that works.

they tax your jg, go tax their lane lol

Smite mids should generally be taking the enemy raptors, not yours.

If you notice them taking yours go and take a wave of their CS, soak as much exp as you can. You will end up with more gold/exp than the raptor camps would have given you.

Yeah, people unilaterally changing strategy are the worst.

The lame part is you know Riot is gonna NERF junglers to fix this.

well thats what running it down mid is for give his laner a more fair lane since your mid has the gold and exp from raprtors only fair

Yeah I felt sad for Cowsep tbh when that Talon took smite and stole his Raptors and wolves , took his blue while Fiora took krugs and the adc took the gromp 2 days ago

I like Smite mid, but I try to use it for extra waveclear, stealing/securing objectives, or farming the enemy jungle.

On the topic of 'being entitled to', I'm sick of lanes taking my buffs left and right, no matter the time in the game or their own stats. When I am a jungle who can make use of the red buff, I can't stand seeing my 0/5 ADC take it without so much as asking me whether I was fine with it. Same with midlaners and blue buff...

Only allow 1 person on your team to take Smite. Literally the most simple fix ever.

It's part of the funneling strategy. Atleast he's telling you ahead of time instead of just taking your camps with no warning. Shitty thing to do if you're not on board with it, but unfortunately it's not punishable as far as I'm aware.

Had an Aatrox try this shit last night. Wouldn't care but I was playing Kayn.

Aatrox: taking raptors Me: ha Me: no Me: get bent

You can take enemy raptors. Also, I know it might be annoying for the jungler, but they can also do some other camp.

It's all about pacing. If your jungler can do another camp instead of raptors, while you do raptors, you, as a team, essentially do 2 camps instead of one. I'd take that strat any day, since it helps a lot to outpace the enemy.

Monstermushmush12/3/2018, 6:58:36 PM1 votes

I would never do that, because I know that if I do, then I won't get any ganks.

mack911212/3/2018, 7:21:51 PM1 votes

Anything that removes interaction with your lane opponent is unhealthy for the game .

Yeah, but then if you want to punish someone for that, can I punish Yi for coming bot, getting both kills, taking 3 waves while I can do nothing about it because I'm Ezreal, and then leeching the turret plating gold so I end up with ~300 gold instead of 800? No.

On a less personal note, then you have to think as a jungle "Can I push this guy's wave into turret while the laners are all gone, or am I going to get banned for it?"

Also, most junglers' first clear either gets raptors or wolves and leaves the other while they look for a gank. At that point, you can just say "Hey, instead, why not go for wolves? Thanks."
