Some of the rotating gamemodes are distinctly unfun if specific champions appear.

I know that the rotating gamemodes aren't meant to be fair, but to be fun. Thing is, usually when you have Yi in, say, Nexus Siege or a gamemode that gives you gold quickly or makes kills worth far less, it becomes... boring because you're fully aware of the outcome.
I mean, wouldn't it just be a better idea to reduce hyper-hypercarries' status in the way you reduce healers' and all? Or the way you reduce Kass' R uptime in URF?
