Ranked is seriously unfair right now.

Im not a high elo this season. Highest I got to was gold 3. But for a month straight I have had losing streaks because of how teams are made. My last 4 losses in a row I had 2 silver teammates in all 4 games, while the enemy team? None. Fuck, one game my top laner (silver 2) was against a Plat 5. Rito fix your how you match opponents because people are losing games because of it.

and before someone says "oh so its not your fault at all?" get lost. Thats not what the post is about.

Rito is trying to grapple with MMR right now. this is going to be further complicated by Group Queueing.

i'd wager your problems fall into one of these three categories

your MMR is comparatively high in your given league and you are being matched with low-MMR players to balance against other players in your division
your MMR is comparatively low in your given league & you're being matched with low-MMR players to form an "equal" team or 3) your teammates MMR is surprisingly high for their division and they're being bumped into your matches

the most likely situation is you've fallen into the placement-match queue but MMR is rather secretive. just know Riot HAS to be working on this now that they've dedicated themselves to DQ. then hope they know what the fuck they're doing; otherwise ladders, in very short order, will be fucking chaos.

They just released a video about all of this. Basically the ranked system is broken but they're only admitting it is for higher elos and lower ones are somehow fine if not "better then they used to be."

At one point they even said they can make the matching algorithm more "aggressive" which will pair people off with drastically different tiers to speed up Q times. They claim they only did this with higher elos, but they're bullshitting so much atm that this is probably just another occurrence of it.

I just don't think they care about the lower elos, it's the majority of the player base and has remained as such since the game was released, so I think they're just kind of betting on it not going down in numbers at all and stopped trying to please that vast majority.
