Gets you called a troll and waiting forever to find a TB team.
Then if you do well everyone just thinks you're smurfing.
I just felt like posting this now that I tried something really unconventional.

In Teambuilder? Seriously, people need to be more open to nonmeta champions in teambuilder.
Yeah this happens with Morg top too. I waited 40 minutes for a game once. We stomped and they surrendered at 20 meaning I spent twice as much time waiting as playing. Now I only play Morg top when I have friends to play with. I kid you not it is easier to find a Morg jungle game LOL.
I really like Leona top. she can build tank as well as the next top laner and brings super solid initiation while opening up more options for support and jungle since she can fill those rolls from a different lane. Stick with it.

I really hate TB if only because if you aren't running meta, you won't get a group. Anyways, top/jungle leona is a thing but people don't ever think about her in those roles.
Top Taric is pretty beastly too after a few levels and a sheen
I think it's ok against top laners that aren't amazing duelists. Against the likes of Jax, Irelia, or Olaf though, you really can't deal with them. Their dps is just too high for Leona to deal with.
