Cant we all just get along?
I've seen several posts on the forums and reddit the past few months about game balance, the community, and (insert item x here). Most of them seem to think the game is being ruined because the fun is being sucked out of League of Legends. I think the problem is a lack of a healthy medium in the way the community approaches the game.
What are normals for? Some people use them for purely for fun or to practice new champions. Others play them as seriously as they would an LCS game, whether it be because of their hyper competitive personalities, or them not playing ranked. Everyone has different objectives for each games and different reasons for playing in general.
I'm very aware that this will make no difference but I wanted to put my opinion somewhere and this is my solution in my head. You don't need to win every normal game and some of you need to chill out. Playing champions or using off meta builds is completely acceptable. First timing a champion? I'd be upset if you didnt do it here first. That being said, don't expect random players to play around your Soraka jungle. If you picked it into a Khazix, your mid/bot/top/river shen arent obligated to leave their lane every 30 seconds to try and help you survive. Of course, they also shouldnt refuse to leash you or whine about the pick the entire game. Also, if you want to go full meme team, do it with your friends. To a degree this has applied to people in ranked or competitive situations too. Im looking at all of you that flamed people who wouldnt funnel you the last couple patches. League of Legends, particularly normals and arams are for fun, but not at the expense of your team.
Probably too long for most to read but thanks to those that did.
