"I Can't Get Into 3v3 Ranked"

I use the Red Tracker a fair bit, and I see a rioter respond to one of these threads about 2-3 times every week. People that've paid attention to TT already expect and know this phenomenon as they watch it in motion, but as it moves into the middles stages I'd like to bring it up again and ask everyone.

If less people actually play TT ranked due to the limited availability of the queue, and no new fresh blood comes into the game mode, then what's going to happen to TT? I guess I'm not necessarily asking much a question here, just bringing an issue to the forefront to be discussed.
