Azir feels even worse after rework
Pre rework Azir had a decent laning phase because he could outrange most mid laners and his soldiers dealt 100% damage in their AOE. Assassins could still counter him because he was very squishy and his escape had a high cooldown. Late game teamfights were good because he could stay relatively safe while being able to deal damage.
Post rework Azir feels garbage at all stages of the game. In laning phase any champion can shove Azir under tower and make him lose CS. Assasins can instakill Azir at any point in the game. Teamfighting is very bad because his ranges were reduced and he has no sustain and is extremely squishy. How is a 1500hp short range dps mage supposed to fight a 4000hp perma CC tank?
Here are some suggestions to make him more viable and balanced:
- Revert the range nerfs on his soldiers and Q
- Soldiers do 100% damage in their AOE at all times
- W no longer gives extra attack speed when Azir summons 3+ soldiers, intsead gives 20% spell vamp
IMO these changes would make Azir better at teamfighting and laning while still being vulnerable to assasins.
