The problem with support champions and why most of the community doesnt like to play them

if you don't already know ss is being removed, an the goldmaker items are being changed to give ss as a new questline reward. there are two main problems with supports, firstly the champions themselves are not able to stand on their own, second is the items.

first lets look at some examples of champions , morgana passive doesn't fit well with her kit, e useless for protecting your adc from enemy adc, Leona no passive w/out ally, soraka no passive w/out ally, q inconsistent timing ,cant heal herself w/ w, e doesn't no dmg to minions and longest delayed ability

now onto the second matter, the items, for while cheap they are not as impactful as other items and the athenes unholy grail support item actually cancels out another support item Mikael crucible. and both have no arm or more appropriately there isn't a identical version but w/ armor instead for vs an all ad team an zekes convergence isn't that vs an all magic team because it isn't balanced for vs both types of dmg same as locket. and most support items are made from 2 advanced items most really strong items are made from 2 advanced items and 1 basic item or 3 advanced items.
