Darius Support

I've played Darius as a support 4 times and 3 times succeeded and the 4th failed due to a bad adc and....well the team. I was hoping to see what others think of this or if anyone else has tried and liked it.

darius has a nice little aoe pull and his heal can keep him in lane and his passive can keep the enemy out of lane unless they have a poke mage

An opposing ADC in a higher Elo would simply poke you down. I have had a Darius support before, can't say I enjoyed it. But he did try to protect and peel for me. It was a normal so I didn't care too much. Non-traditional picks in normals I am perfectly OK with. That is how people learn that the pick "doesn't work" through trial and error.

If you want to get kills or be effective at poking people but still play support play Sona or Lux. Darius is pretty immobile and if the enemy jumps your ADC you really can't do anything except pull them to you. In which case you simply may die in the peel attempt, whereas other supports WILL NOT die from a simple disengage skill.
