I have heard good things about him and was wondering if he is good if mastered.

I agree with the others, but I also gotta say - He's only good if mastered. If you decide to start learning him now, and stick with it, you'll do extremely well on the rift. Good luck!

yes he is a decent mage to play

TF is cheap, good, and fun. He's not super mechanically intensive and he has really good wave clear so your job as TF is pretty easy.

TF also gives you arguably the best ability of any midlaner to affect the map which is obviously amazing. I don't play him that much but its a really hard investment to regret. Well worth 5/5

You've never heard anything good about TF? Who have you been talking to? That aside, he's a great mage to pick up. He takes a bit to get used to but overall, very satisfying to play as.

You can carry games with ease if you master him. His ult is a powerful ganking tool in solo q. Even if you fall behind in lane, your ult almost guarantees a kill in a side lane

"Any player that wants to say they've mastered Midlane needs to know how to play TwistedFate well. Because it teaches you to look at the map." - SKT Faker

Paraphrased but is an actual quote.

Yeah, TF is a must on any player.

Twisted fate is probably one of the most interestingly complex champions in the game. His deceptively simple kit belies how difficult he is to play. His passive is a simple gold generation that generally only helps to keep you from falling behind in lane and allow you to snowball a bit harder in the mid-game during splitpushing by out farming your opponent. This is done because His Q is one of the best if not the single best poke skill in the game. No other skill has as much damage, range and as low of a CD without some sort of drawback like with Varus's arrow. His W is a mini-game that tends to take little skill in normal situations but ups the ante in situations where the right pick can literally determine not just a teamfight but an entire game. His E gives him a little better control on burst and sustained damage and his ult gives vision of the entire map and the ability to teleport for epic ganks.

The biggest thing that should be noted about TF is that while he does do a high amount of damage it pales in comparison to other mages and assassins. Rather, TF thrives off of intelligent map play, good reflexes, and the ability to keep calm under pressure rather than just big numbers. his squishy nature makes him an easy kill when out of position which is easy to do since his W and E rely on his AA range which is a bit shorter than normal. When mastered he gets the ability to dictate a game with amazing control. Go watch: http://worlds.lolesports.com/en_US/vods/worlds/world_championship_2015 in this game xpeke does work on twisted fate and you can see a pretty high level of mastery on the champion.

He's great if mastered but kind of terrible before. He has very low damage so he has to make great use of his ult to make plays to succeed. But you can really snowball your whole team with good ults.

In the beginning, there was nothing. Over the course of seven days, the gods named RITO created a rift in cyberspace, wherein millions of nerds could pretend they knew a thing about strategy. Then on the 8th day, RITO allowed man to walk enter this Rift. After 2 years of carelessness, resulting in 2 non-Korean teams winning the world championships, the RITO gods summoned the legendary Faker to Mount S3Worlds. Faker returned from the mountain with 10 commandments, 1 of which was: Thou shalt learnest TF, for he teacheth thou to observe thy map.

He is very hard to learn, but once you get the hang of him, it's very rewarding and you should be able to carry games single-handedly.

He is fun to play ^^

Now seriously , he is one of the few mages that has global presence , and his utility isn't something to joke with.

About mastering a champion , everyone is powerful if mastered , but they get more rewarded if they have synergy with their team comp . Picking the same champion everytime will not help you progress as much as trying totally different strategies.

As someone who loves to play Twisted fate; he is a challenge to play in most games. He will lose most lane match ups fairly hard until you really understand him, and even then if you get pair against something like Yasuo, or Ahri you are going to have a hard time. His "utility" is all almost completely tied into a single ability (W) making it important to know when to use what cards, and his scaling isn't anything to write home about (1.65 ap).

On a more personal note the majority of the time I find it difficult to carry a poor team with him. This may be entirely my fault but twisted fate isn't made to solo multiple champions with full health. He can't engage on an enemy team without the major risk of being caught out with no escapes. His split push is godly but is usually dependant on his teammates deep wars for safety (good luck getting those). He can make picks but definitely needs the enemy to have screw up and give him the chance and no escapes means that in anything more than 1v1 you need your teammates to take the heat for you. Overall I just find that he is really team dependant.

Thats not to say you shouldn't play Twisted fate; He has his virtues Global pressure, targeted stuns, decent sustained damage. Its just you are going to have to work at it, Twisted fate isn't that kind of champion you can pick up and "master" after ten games. There are going to be a lot of times when you feel powerless because someone is playing a champion with an overloaded kit against you or who has more mobility and cc. Twisted fate is balanced But in a game full of over-tuned, overload champions it will feel weak to start, but when you do get those plays off let me tell you, you will feel godly.

ya he's pretty good he has good wave clear good damage and his ult can score you and your team free kills only thing is that he has no escape and you need good positioning in fights try to ready gold card before you ult have fun

He's not a flashy Penta-kill style mage, but if you have consistently good teamwork, map awareness, and macro, then he is a solid pick.

I'm not a Twisted Fate main--I've barely played him 20 games. But from what I've seen through my thousands of games played, he is good at applying pressure in just the right ways to turn a fight or enhance the pace of the match. He's got somewhat intimidating poke, fair utility, good damage, and excellent map pressure. If you are a seasoned player, I'd suggest giving him a try.

That said, I just sifted through your match history and found that you have an estimated normal MMR of 900. With that info I think Twisted Fate may be a touch too challenging for you to play properly in your current state. I see you've been playing Annie, though. Annie is a simple and easy champion to play, and is actually very strong too. I've used to her in my line-up to get to Platinum in ranked, so by no means is she weak when played correctly.

That said, the most important thing about choosing a champ when starting out is whether or not you like playing that champ. Try lots of different champs when they are free to see what you like, and don't worry about whether or not the champion is "good".

He's my best mid laner so I'd have to say yes. And he's one of only three people I've ever gotten a penta on, and I hadn't even gotten him to rank 5 yet so I wasn't very experienced.
