[Concept] Singed Champion Update Concept
Singed
is an old champion and its time he received a little love! The mad chemist has seen play at many world tournaments and at various times throughout the competitive season. As a Singed main (not singed only player), I have played a lot of games on Singed, and am familiar with his role, strengths, and weaknesses. In short, this reworks goal is update singed from his numbers and abilities from his release into a more modern AP Bruiser/Tank that could see play vs. specific team comps, and works better in a generic team composition. I did not yet bother to do the numbers but I will update this post in the future with numbers/tweaks.
TL/DR: Removed old passive, moved E to passive, new E, R Update. No numbers yet just the concept.
I have also made some remarks on the changes proposed here.
P: (NEW) Fling - Every X seconds, Singed's next auto attack flings the enemy over his shoulder 550 units, dealing magic damage (capped against minions and monsters)
X is a placeholder number for now. Eventually, I would probably put X to scale down at level 6/11/16 so it would be like (12/10/8/6) seconds or something. Numbers are coming later. The only other change I would add would to be add a Maximum Mana scaling to the damage, to encourage the building of Mana still. This actually makes Singed's early game quite strong, perhaps encouraging Singed players to start the game in lane instead of with a proxy. Also, Singed's effectiveness will overall increase during a long teamfight.
Q: (Unchanged) Poison Trail - TOGGLE: Singed leaves a poison cloud behind him for 3.25 seconds. Enemies standing in the cloud's trail are poisoned for 2 seconds, taking magic damage every 0.25 seconds for the duration (continually refreshes while remaining in the affected area).
Notes: This ability is unchanged as it pretty much defines 90% of singed's playstyle (the other 10% is his E). The only thing I would think of changing would be a mana scaling to match the passive above.
W: (Unchanged) Mega-Adhesive - ACTIVE: Singed covers the target area with a potent adhesive for 5 seconds, slowing all enemies within (persists for 1 second after they leave the area).
Notes: Unchanged. Might be really strong with the new E below, but otherwise remains on the champion.
E: (NEW) Stampeding Bulwark - ACTIVE: Singed charges towards target enemy, gradually gaining movement speed and becoming immune to disables over a X second duration. If Singed reaches his target during the duration of Stampeding Bulwark, the target is knocked back 125 units and dealt Y damage.
X and Y are arbitrary placehold numbers for now. It is possible to have the duration scale with points in the ability or with boot tier.
Notes: So why does Singed even carry a shield? With Stampeding Bulwark, Singed actually uses his shield for offensive purposes! By ducking behind it and charging forward, singed can single out an enemy and spell their doom. Catching a mobile enemy like Ezreal or Kassadin will still prove difficult to a singed, but woe is he who decides to play Varus with no Thresh or Tahm Kench into a Singed. This ability does resemble Vi's ultimate somewhat but has some key differences. For one, Singed is still running, so Dashing or Blinking over a wall will cause Singed to begin to turn path differently. Also, Singed cannot cancel this headlong engage, so predicting where he will end up can set up for an easy CC lock and pick off. A well placed trundle pillar or anivia wall can also completely nullify this engage and render singed vulerable.
On the plus side, timing this ability correctly can negate some crucial CC or cause an enemy to be caught unaware. Also imaging the jungle ganks!
R: (UPDATED) ACTIVE: Singed removes all disables from himself and drinks a potent chemical brew, gaining bonus ability power, bonus armor, bonus magic resistance, bonus movement speed, bonus health regeneration, and bonus mana regeneration, all for the next 25 seconds.
Notes: The only update here is the cleansing of CC upon activation of his ultimate. Singed's current ultimate is quite strong, but is also one of those "hey guys lets wait 45 seconds to fight because my ult is on cooldown" kind of things. Using the cleanse as an escape is GREAT, but will render you weaker while its on cooldown.
