I got a chat restriction, but what happened afterwards surprised me. (Also a possible idea for Riot)

So I got a chat restriction a while ago (1-2 months?) I don't want to get into details, but to keep it short, I flamed someone after she stole my role and flamed me (I was playing Dark Souls before this, and I was NOT in the mood). After my chat restriction was over, I noticed that the people I was playing with were a lot more positive than the people I was formerly playing with. I don't know if Riot does this to try to improve our behavior. That also leads me to a possible idea for Riot. If Riot doesn't already do this, they should match players who had a chat restriction with players that are generally nicer players. I think the way to measure that would be to use the honoring system. Match the toxic players like me, with players that have high numbers of honors. This might help the toxic people not be toxic, because how are you gonna be mad at the Sona who says "Awwww I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to steal that kill D: I'll make it up to you; I'll follow you and focus on healing you the entire game." I don't know if this would work, but I'd love to hear some feedback from the community. Anyways, thanks Riot, for making the people I play with now, a lot more pleasant than my former allies.

Good god no, don't stick the toxys in my games. That'll just make me mad. As is I get a notification that a player I reported was banned every third or fourth game. If that goes up to every other game or every game I'll be hella pissed and say fuck it and join in being a rude asshole myself.

There currently isn't any change to your matchmaking for behavior. This is kind of like a "Prisoner's Island" which Riot is against, but reverse; what kind of positive player would want to be intentionally given toxic players? It "might" help some of the toxic players, but at the cost of the people that deserve punishment the least.

I see where you guys are coming from. I didn't really think out too much, and I failed to see how many flaws there are with the idea. Maybe Riot will think of a way to deal with "curing" toxic behavior.
