Analysis on Viktory
I rarely see people play this guy, he is a fairly viable champ that is misunderstood, like shyvana half the time. He is one of those champs that are really good that I see people barely play at all. I started playing him and he is actually pretty fun. So time to go over this guy.
Moveset: Starting off is the most important factor about Viktor, his passive which includes the hextech core. It at first is an un-sellable item, that gives you only 1 ap per level and free mana. However, the more you upgrade it, it will increase the ap greatly, up to a grand total of 180 ap at max level. Also, every upgrade you give it allows you to upgrade one of your abilities, like kha'zix, with the final core upgrading your ult for free. By the way, its like an upgrading item worth gold in the shop, so keep that in mind. His q is a target ability that deals a small amount of damage, while giving you a shield, also enhancing your next auto attack a LOT, when upgraded the shield is stronger and you get more movement speed while casting it. This ability works great as a trading tool, as you get a free shield and a boosted auto attack with high damage, its pretty good. Viktor's w is like you have a veigar wall and an anivia ult mixed together, it makes a field that greatly slows enemies in it, stunning them if they stay in it for too long, when upgraded, stunned enemy get pulled into the center. This is Viktor's primary form of cc, and it works very well, and makes greedy players cry as the stun lasts quite a bit. His e is basically a death star hand. His third arm fires a laser and the way how the laser is fired is actually unique, you hold the key down where the beam starts then drag the cursor to the target location where it ends, which you can use for easy cs or hitting multiple targets at once without having to wait for them to line up in front of you. When upgraded, a line of explosions occurs after the beam is fired, dealing damage again but on a small scale, which really confuses the enemy thinking "yay I lived the laser!" then proceeds to get killed by the aftershock. His ultimate is... very confusing but very powerful. You get a floating drone that makes a field that occasionally damages enemies in the field with a lot of damage and interrupts channels. When upgraded, it travels faster... because it already does enough damage. This ability is any enemy champion's worst nightmare, it has constant damage and interrupts any channel ability unless if its a sion ult or ornn w, not to mention the fact it follows enemies once you cast it on top of them. You can redirect the ability too by the way.
Playing Viktor: Early game, you want to play defensive while gaining cs to get enough gold to upgrade your hextech core. You CAN poke your enemy laner with your e, which you want to have as your first ability to get decent waveclear. Once you have your q or e upgraded with the second form of the hextech core, you have a fair stand against your enemy laner. Put your w on top of them if they try engaging or if they are standing still, most likely that will stun them, then use your e which will do a decent amount of damage. When they get out of the stun, use your q regardless, and why cast it after the stun? because if they try attacking you after they are not stunned anymore, you will have a shield up to protect you. Late game, most likely you should have ALL upgrades of the hextech core. Use your q w and e whenever necessary, however, use your ultimate when going on a 1v1 because in a team fight, your ult kind of screws up and doesn't know what enemy to target so you have to constantly redirect it. Also, Viktor is one of the few champs that can counter champions such as yasuo, riven, kayn, and other champions people may have a hard time against, mainly because of his w and ultimate.
Levelling and builds: For levelling, get your e as your first ability for early game wave clear. Then get your q and w afterwards. After you have those three abilities, upgrade your e and q at the same time, and your w last since its still a good stun even at rank 1. Upgrade your ultimate whenever you can because it has very high damage. For builds, no matter what, upgrade your hextech core before ANYTHING else, at max level you can get a LOT of ap, if your at level 11 which is most likely the time you get it, you will have 110 ap, then at level 18, you will have a grand total of 180 ap. Build whatever boots you need. Then get rylai's to easily keep your enemy from escaping, which gives them a harder time to get out of your w before they get stunned. Afterwards, build whatever ap item you want like zhonya's, banshees, rod of ages, who gives a care any ap item can work with this guy.
