Why do I get demoted when someone disconnects at level 3? Does Riot care about things like this?

I mean really- You'd think at some point someone at Riot would lose a promo series or get demoted because someone on their team disconnects, and think, "Hmm, shouldn't we have a system that prevents loss penalties whenever there is a disconnected player on the team?"

I was just demoted in a game where I got off to a good start, yet my JG disconnected at level 3 and we ended up losing, slowly (because we should have won the game). I mean COME ON, this game is over 6 years old and you still haven't come up with a system that says, "Hey, this player spent 70% of the game time sitting in the fountain. Maybe his teammates shouldn't be demoted."

But no. Lose game to DC on your team, get demoted. someone on my team was also in their series. THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING
