Need a opinion on brand.

So i don't know if it is just me, but brand has a extremely high damage output no matter what role he plays. I was playing and he only had a large rod and dorans ring for AP and he managed to burst me from full health and killed me with one rotation of abilities. I didn't even have the chance to turn around and run before i got burst down. Its the same for brand "support". And i really hate him being a "support" because he isn't. He does more damage than the actual ADC. I have yet to see a brand "support" go the mage support build. He just build's full AP. And please don't take this as the "omg this is so broken need nerf" complaint. I really wanna know what other people think about him right now
