Whats the Deal with Cho?

So ever since I begun to play League of Legends back in Season 4 I've had a love hate relationship with Cho'Gath. I thought the idea of him eating champions, minion, jungle camps, dragons, and even baron to make himself larger and stronger was a cool concept. But whenever I played him I felt that he had one of two stages, 1: hes tiny and you do damage but you have no health, and 2: you're huge but since you're so big you're very slow and are just a walking target and you'll die in seconds. Now I stopped playing Cho because of this predicament. But when I saw RITO updated him I thought he would be better. Now he doesn't lose stacks so when you die you're still huge and you no longer lose all your health. And now his ult scales with Health so the more you eat the more damage you'll do. But this just amplifies the second problem i had with the champ. Hes always big, so hes always a target, and since hes always a target he cant get away. To the point where you cant engage and you cant disengage fast enough to be effective. And I just feel like hes not effective in any role, in the jg he gets demolished by anyone who can out-damage him if they decide to invade (i.e. every other jungler) Top lane hes too slow and big to escape ganks and is weak to most champions who are being used right now in that lane. Mid lane hes so big and clunky and slow that its hard to fight most assassins in the lane, and zoning characters like Xerath just make it feel like you're on the beaches of Normandy. ADC/Marksman... Support. Now you could make the argument that being able to eat the enemy laner who is most likely not very tanky but if you do that then you're going to be so big you're gonna be poked to death, if you weren't being poked to death already. So where does this void creature have to go? I have no clue. Hes kinda the urgot of tanks. He may show up time to time and be quite powerful in a game. But the odds of that is less then riot making a new skin for urgot. Sadly I think this behemoth of a champ is dead in the current meta. Which is sad because i wanted to use him more now that gargoyle stoneplate exists. But by all means play a few games of Cho'Gath and then tell me what you think about him.
