Do We Know More About The Rengar Re-Work Than We Have Been Told?

With the way they describe the Rengar changes, with wanting to be build up ferocity in the middle of a fight rather than build up than delete someone, they also mentioned on a Reddit post that they wanted each ability to feel like it was chunking them down, it reminds me of what they were trying to do with Riven a while back with the "edge" mechanic. Is something similar to that what we may be seeing?
