Hechtech Fire & Ice

So the Active effects of Hextech Protobelt-01 and Hextech GLP-800 work on the same timer.

At a glance these would be "bad" to purchase together because you would not be able to use the actives independently.

However, all of their other components go fairly well together.

+ 60 + 80 [140] Ability Power 300 + 300 [600] Health 400 Mana 10% Cooldown Reduction Passive: Eternity Active: FireBold / FrostBolt (shared timer)

Total cost 5500 gold.

If I understand this right, the only drawback is that you can only use one of the actives which will put them both on cooldown. However, you get to decide which you use, correct? For example, you could decide the situation calls for Firebolt at one point, but then when they come back off of cooldown you can use Frostbolt the next time.

This could ultimately be good for someone who needs AP and health, maybe a bit of Mana and CDR, right?

Maybe then grab some resistances and you have yourself an AP tank with some utility.

Something like Zz'Rot or Banner of Command?

I'm really just thinking out loud here.
