This was my last ranked game and I honestly just want to say what the fuck matchmaking. This is the type of stuff I expect to see in normals, but not ranked. With as many people as you have playing this game, and for solo que, you can't find ways to balance the teams a little better. This is a joke. I mean is it possible we can win this, sure, but highly unlikely.

67 MMR difference is quite a bit indeed. I usually get matches with 30-50 MMR difference in plat I. I wuld think that at the more average MMR levels, they would be able to find closer matching teams since there are a lot more players there.

On the good side of that, if you lose the game you will probably only lose 2-3 points, but if you win, you will get about 25-30 points.

3 out of 5 Golds were in the lowest divisions = might as well be in the Silver.

Your team consists of one Gold 5 and four high Silvers.

If you didn't bother to check OP.GG's MMR you wouldn't even notice the difference.

That match actually looks really balanced. You have a silver 2 on your team with a 73% winrate. You have two silver 1s that are fairly close to promos, and a silver 2 in promos. The enemy team has a bunch of low lp gold 5s and two gold 4s. I also would not be surprised if the gold 5s on the enemy team have high silver mmr, while the high silvers on your team have low gold mmr.

Like, seriously, the 73% silver 2 has gotta raise some flags for you there. This is clearly a smurf account that is climbing fast, and most likely belongs in plat or diamond.

I have had way worse matchups than that (like vs Gold 1 when I was still Silver 1) and they were still very winnable. I don't think your team was super unmatched, though still not in your favor. It's kind of how matchmaking forces you to lose sometimes to keep ~50% win rate.

You had one Gold player (yourself) and two people who would enter Gold promotions soon. They have to play at the level of Gold 5+ to get into Gold, so it's not totally off. Your Silver 2 players both had good winrates, and one was in their series already.

If you think the MMR scores are way off, keep in mind it's not exact. You can check it on another website (like LolNexus) and it will have completely different numbers.

I think either the silvers all have high MMR's or the golds all have low MMRs

The only difference between silver 2/1 and gold 5/4 is luck. The skill levels are pretty much the same. I'm surprised you don't see this in the majority of your games.

I've been on teams where everyone else on my team was all gold against majority silver, but we still ended up losing. I think the highest I've gotten matched with so far is gold 3 when I'm silver 2, and it still was not a big difference. Actually I'm pretty sure that player tried to use support as a scapegoat because they played badly and didn't ward themselves like they're supposed to. That's something I haven't seen since bronze.

Played on my smurf a while back and got matched up against a Gold 3. When I was level 19.

Yep, that guy who doesn't even have 2 quint's can definitely hold his own against a gold in lane. Now I see why so many new players quit.

The teams are extremely close in "skill". There is 1 division between S1 and G5 and G5 between G4. There were no Gold 3's or Silver 3's in this game. Everyone is fairly close when it comes to skill level. I'm a Platinum 5 Mid main and played a game last night and we had a G5 ADC, we crushed the enemy team, 13K Gold lead.
