The splash portion of the active is a spell and the direct damage on the main target for both the active and passive is an on-hit effect.

Note that Adaptive Helm (should, according to its wording) affects both spells and on-hit effects.

The AOE potion of E is considered a spell, and applied spell effects.

Though I have not test is out myself, don't take my word for it.

from what i know it is a so-so. It is an AA enhance but the AoE splash Counts as a spell. The direct damage dealt to the target is counted as an AA. as for the item, from what i know it reduces spammy AP damage, no idea if that Counts for enhanced AAs aswell for champs like a fizz, viktor or ap ezreal etc.
