Should I just give up

I've been playing league for a little over 2 in a half years and I tried to get out of bronze This season for quite Awhile I was so close to I'm currently sitting at B1 and I failed my series (well I'm actually 0/2 rn but there is no way i'm gonna win three games in a row, in an hour and a half.) and after almost 3 years of playing I'm still bronze I'm the worst of the worst, I try as hard as I can but I just can never pull threw. I'm a failure in basically everything that I've ever done and if I cant even get out of B1 after 3 years I'm starting to think I just should give up with everything. I was so happy I was starting to make progress to but it just wasn't enough and it never feels like it'll be enough

Well you've gotten to Bronze 1, havent you? You're so close, why give up now? That its the end of the season doesnt mean its the end of your potential, quite the opposite - the game changes a lot from year to year, and that means some players will have an easier time succeeding than others.

Season 7 might just be your time to shine.

If we take a step back, though, remember that the game is meant to have fun in. Its not all about winning or losing, and your rank does not define your value in any way.

Victory or Defeat, does it really matter as long as you have fun? Can you remember most of the matches you played when you first started? I imagine you can remember a couple, perhaps three or four - thats what i do, anyways. The rest? Nothing. I remember that i have played, but i cant recall any distinct memories of either wins or losses.

If you still have fun with the game, you should keep playing. Just try to have fun, play some normal games, try some new champions or practice some old ones. Do what you have fun with and you'll improve without realizing it.

You've gotten to Bronze 1 this season. That's good enough - for now.

Lets aim for Silver III next season - what do you say? Just take it one step at a time. You'll get there with patience.

The best advice I can give you is to take a step back and remember why we play video games in the first place. Last season I ended in S1 after spending untold hours trying to push into gold (which I made in pre season). Then this season my placements stuck me into bronze and while I took a break from this game i just recently came back about a month ago. Today I made it to 99 lp at 10am in B1 I am now at 33 lp and calling it quits after playing all day. It is shitty and I will miss my silver border but you know what I still have fun playing this game, sometimes lol. Dont worry about what rank you are, are you still having fun with the game? Then keep playing, keep bettering yourself and use the rank system as motivation. With competitive games like this sometimes you start playing the ladder and forget about the game.

Good luck next season, you came close you have plently of time to see it through now.

There's a lot of free resources to improve how you play!

As others have stated, the "sandbox test chamber" and "replays" becoming available.. for testing out champions / item sets / reviewing your games..

All of this is going to increase peoples skill with champions, if they take the time to actually increase their skill.

Reviewing games will be the most important. What did I do wrong? I did everything correct, but I still lost.. what can I improve? What information did a miss during X play, that made us lose the game? My opponent always beats me in lane. Is it the champion I'm using? The items I'm using? What should I have built for items to give me and my team a better chance at success?

Looking at replays is going to be your #1 tool to improve. Even if you cannot see your mistakes, you'll be able to ask other's what mistakes you made (if people are kind enough to watch your replay and give feedback) With replays easily available, tutors around the forums will likely skyrocket, since they don't have to be there at the time of your game in order to view your game-play. I assume there will be many options to help you improve.

I myself am Looking forward to these systems, as it will help me immensely.

Currently sitting at Silver IV, for Reference. (3/10 wins, ranking B to A+ while playing my champion in Support Role.)

"Don't give up" is the general advice i give you. whether its in life or in games, we are told to not give up.

There will always be another season, another patch and another champion.

maybe your not ready for rank yet, the meta is always changing and maybe you havent had the chance to climb in a fair environment yet.

dont give up, just take a break, keep practicing and playing. it's okay your stuck at bronze, some people (like me) are unranked since forever XD

There is always another day, chill, it's not that big of a deal. League is not aall about Ranks and season rewards, you just play it for fun.

What a concept right XD Your not to blame for your failure to climb, try next season, definitely a better and new experience...i hope XD

Hello, I hope I can provide helpful advice, as a support stuck in low gold all season.

Your support builds lack core support items. For example, on Thresh/Leona you build a lot of personal tanky items like Sunfire and Frozen Mallet (??!) which do not help your team. Personally, I'm not a fan of the 'eye of .. ' support items, because I prefer to build item actives and Ruby Sightstone to decrease the CD to 48 seconds.

On your supports, try starting Ancient Coin -> Sight Stone -> Talisman of Ascension -> Aegis -> Locket and use defensive runes. These items help your team immensely, and the actives synergize with almost any support you can think of. You can use Talisman on thresh, for example, to dash in range for a Q, and use locket active to double up on shield for your ADC if they get caught.

In lane, only use your grab if you know it will hit them. Otherwise you want to zone them out with the threat. Once you blow your Q and it goes on CD, the enemy has free reign to do whatever they want since all your threat is gone.

You also have a very high death count in your games. I understand that a support should die in place of an adc if at all possible, but try to avoid having more than 5 deaths a game, especially on a non-tank support like Nami.

Try branching out and playing Janna too - she has the highest winrate currently in the entire game, and she's fairly easy to pick up and learn.

Before you give up, why don't you just try to change your champs/roles? Maybe you just didn't find your best role/champs.

Don't worry about it, we all learn at different paces. Maybe your strategies just aren't effective. The new replay system will help out with reviewing your own gameplay, and as long as you are putting in more effort than other people then you should be trending upwards. Just be patient with yourself, this preseason you can get your mmr up and get a good start for Season 7. You can do it.

use http://champion.gg for masteries/items/skill order

just be accurate with copying most winning instead of most common because, you know, most winning are often aimed at very aggressive high skill gameplay
