Efficient Warding

When it comes to warding there are a lot of places where you can put those silly little things that grant you vision. It can be an over whelming task to try and figure out where to put wards. With the new warding system many players are probably finding this difficult to figure out where the best place to put their wards are. I'm here to help out with this. There are ways to use fewer wards but to still have good coverage of you lane. This isn't a guide about all the warding spot but rather some of the most efficient spots you can ward with 1 or 2 wards. This isn't where you always want to put a ward but if you want to get the most information with a limited amount of wards I would recommend these spots. This is primarily for early game when people have limited wards.

TOP Lane

In the top lane 1 ward is very common. That one ward can be put to really good use though. The place where you get the most out it varies depending on if you are red or blue. If you find yourself on the blue side you will have more safety with 1 ward. The red side is better for a more aggressive ward but you won't be as safe.

For Red: Place the ward deep in the river at the mouth of the enemy jungle near the blue buff. This will give you information about when they get blue as well as if they go up river. You can also see if they enter their jungle from this area as well as keep an eye for the enemy getting Herald.

For Blue: A really good defensive ward option is available to you here. Place it not in the bush in the river but rather up against the baron pit so that it can see the river and all the way to the tri bush, if you do it perfectly then even a pink won't see the ward. This gives you maximum coverage and as long as you don't push right up against the enemy tower the jungler has only one option for ganking you unawares, and that's going through your blue buff jungle and over the wall near your turret with some ability that can leap walls.

MID lane

Mid lane is tricky because it has the most options for gank routes. The focus here should be warding so as to insure an escape route. If you have a really good bot lane that wards properly you might only need 1 ward, otherwise I would recommend buying a pink so that you can see an enemy coming in for a gank as well as insuring you have a way out. keep in mind these 2 ward locations are not 100%, but it will cover you the most and give the most warning for a limited amount of wards. 9/10 times you should be able to see a gank coming in and be able to avoid it.

For Red: place one ward at the tip of the wall on your side that is pointing towards top. This covers many angles of attack for enemy gankers and will even cover the angle they can take to get behind you unless they go very deep into your jungle via the top jungle entrance. The second ward you want as a defensive ward that can see enemies entering your blue side jungle. If you know no one is there when they come from top you have an easy escape. Both spot ganks coming through the river.

For Blue: Place one ward in the small river bush as that covers one of your jungle entrances and is far enough out to give you ample warning. The second one is trickier and should not be place in the red buff bush facing the river but rather up against the dragon pit so that it can see in the river and behind the bush that faces the river. This will warn you of the most routes that an enemy can take to gank you.

BOT lane

Oh bot lane, the many zany ways in which you can ward. Did you know that you can cover every angle of ganking except through the lane with 2 wards ? Don't believe me? Well, part of it reading the intention of the enemy. Knowing when they are bot side and being aggressive in your jungle. With 2 wards you can insure that you know when the enemy jungler can gank you and when to play safe. This is because they will have no way of entering your jungle on the bottom without your team knowing it. This can often lead to capturing the enemy jungler and more!

For Red: If you can place 1 ward in the small river bush and 1 in the enemy tri-bush then the only way for the enemy jungler to cross into your side is VIA over the dragon pit. Unfortunately red is at a disadvantage here because they need 3 wards to cover wall hoping. however, with 2 ward you can covered every angle for walking over to the red side jungle on bot. Odds are when they do this you will want to capture them or back off so they don't gank you from behind.

For Blue: Blue has a huge advantage here. Any wall hoping as well as any other avenue of entering your bottom jungle can be covered with 2 wards (with the exception of jumping over the tower wall, but you really shouldn't be that pushed up anyway unless trying to dive. Place 1 in the small river bush and the the 2nd one at the tip of the wall when entering red's jungle so that you can see the wall that follows along the river bush. This covers enemies wall hoping and you can see anyone entering the river from both bottom jungle entrances.
