Ranked system needs attention

So I am currently in bronze one, my issue is the fact that ranked games will keep going even when people disconnect. I was in my series to rank up to silver and things were going well enough, game was pretty even and I had hope that after all my countless hours of commitment I would finally get out of bronze. Then of all the times for something to happen my power goes out. During my series! I immediately start freaking out and go into utter despair. My series is over, I have to climb again and everyone I played with lost points. Still not really collected but still left with the desire to get out, I am so close to silver I play another game when the power comes back on. Game starts okay but then our mid gets disconnected. we lose. Why do we lose? why don't we have better options for protecting players from losing their hard earned points when we lose a teammate or heaven forbid it happens to other people our power goes out or comp goes down or game crashes? we fight and claw our way ahead through the mud that is ranked latter and you're telling me losing points when a game turns into a 4v5 is justifiable? where's the hope? How can I keep playing something so undependable when it takes so much time and effort to get ahead only to get pushed back from events that are 100% uncontrollable? We need a counter measure of some sort beyond just an early game remake. perhaps a reduction in the amount of points lost? or better protection for players in a series? I can guarantee none of us want a DC during our promo and we definitely should not be punished for it.
