Why are people so afraid of change?

Fun Fact, most people dislike innovation in matches. and here is one example, i like to use Blitzcrank either Mid or Support but when i use him Mid people always leave, why? i mean isn't it fun to break up the routine? i don't get why people are so scared of that, i mean it's just a game, a normal match might i add.

because it isn't what the pros do. They define what's good and bad in the meta. The changes happen when they see someone doing something different and noticing that as effective. Like trundle support for example.

The meta is defined by the pros and people follow the pros. That's why the UOL were so great when they first came in they weren't afraid to change things up a bit. They won with shaco and udyr. Kog and varus mid became common picks.

Also no one blitzcrank.

I mean its fun if it's just normals, unless youre really good at it then its ok to take to ranked i suppose.

It's funny that Blitz isn't even categorized as a support.

I remember last week I was playing Azir I have over 600 games on him and I didn't rush item 3115 I went item 3165 instead. My whole team flamed me saying "the pros don't build morello for a reason they rush nashors because you don't do damage without it". I mean my 600+ games must mean nothing and there must only be 1 way to build Azir apparently. I ended up going like 16/4 and carrying their sorry asses. Some people though.

Why are people so afraid of change?

The answer to that is much greater than league of legends :D

People are used to what they're used to, they won't accept change unless someone tells them to change (LCS Payers, metas, etc.)

I've seen people FEED mid lane blitzcranks hard, and on top of that if he lands a grab, ganks are nearly guaranteed to be successful, thus putting him more ahead. that champ is a lot more powerful than most people think, especially full AP blitz. He can do some crazy damage and carry with the right builds. Same with Leona top .she's super powerful and has the potential to carry if you know how to play the champ decently.
