The past is a tapestry of what lies ahead...
From the launch of runes reforged, the damage being dealt from everyone has been too high. Rather than fixing this, the patches that have come since then have only further pushed the game towards dueling. I'm wondering why people are even surprised at the jungle changes when these changes came about before it:
- Point and click spells aggroing minions, discouraging poke in favour of all ins
- Conqueror being released
- Mana items (especially doran's ring) being changed to not rely on last hits so mana can be used to trade
You go to lane or jungle and you duel the enemy laner. If you're not good at handling extended fights early, you just die. It's not hard to see why champions like nasus are doing badly right now. I hate nasus as much as the next guy, but he represents an extreme in the game that is being shoved out.
At this point, the only thing I can hope for is for ADCs to get absolutely gutted and other classes going bot. This isn't out of malice, but out of the hope that it will make riot realise the repercussions of making games finish so quickly.
