Bring back Malady!
- Nashor's Tooth: Close range Mages do not have the sustain to employ its consistent damage, nor the Attack Speed to effectively make that damage burst damage.
- Nashor's Tooth is picked up by both Mage-Marksmen and Mage-Assassins.
- Riot wants to branch out Assassin itemization.
These are the reasons I suggest changing Nashor's Tooth in a way that makes it easier for Mage-Marksmen to pick it up initially, and better for Mage-Assassins to invest into,
Malady
- Cost: 1900 Gold
- Recipe: Recurve Bow + Fiendish Codex + 100 Gold
- 25% Attack Speed
- 30 Ability Power
- 10% Cooldown Reduction
- UNIQUE Passive: Basic attacks deal 15 (+0.05 Ability Power) bonus magic damage on hit.
Teemo and Kayle would love this, assuming they follow a certain playstyle.
Nashor's Tooth
- Cost: 3200 Gold
- Recipe: Kircheis Shard + Malady + 550 Gold
- 50% Attack Speed
- 60 Ability Power
- 10% Cooldown Reduction
- Passive: Moving and attacking will make an attack Energized.
- UNIQUE Passive: Basic attacks deal 15 (+0.05 Ability Power) bonus magic damage on hit. Damage scaling stacks up to three times.
- UNIQUE Passive - Malady: Your Energized attacks deal 30 -- 100 (+0.4 Ability Power) bonus magic damage on hit.
This lets Mage-Marksmen have an impact at the beginning of a fight and rewards them for their playstyle, and it's better for Assassins because of its burst damage. HOWEVER the trade for that damage comes at the loss of 20 Ability Power and 10% Cooldown Reduction, and the item costs 200 more gold :(
