Discuss about the consequence of mana change
I just think the mana nerf it's very bad when compared to some champs that instead of losing mana they get/refound when last hit/do some action on minion. Ryze/malzhar/annie/cassiopeia/(kassadin he didn't recive any nerf or buff)/xerath/karthus/(cho gath?)+support viable in mid lane (they got a good mana reg buff and no mana nerf)+no mana ap akali/katarina/kennen/vladimir. (Swain+brand+velkoz+fizz+lissandra maybe too). So this nerf will afflict only a low list of champs, but they will be hit hard if waste a spell on minion Eg ahri/zoe/lux/leblanc/syndra/ziggs And the most hitten champ. Anivia and aurelion sol who will see their mana gutted by half on level and if they don't buy tear+Roa they will become too much mana gated. What this nerf will make? More use of tear and archangel. Request to get 2 mana item at least. Having mana flow band every game. Getting less ap from archangel (less mana = less ap). Who will it mean? Encourage Ap mana refound champ. Tank can literally 1v1 a dps/battle mage if they don't have a tear because they run out of mana too fast. Assassin have much more opportunity to make their work. Adc even strong (plz stop doing that) Forcing no mana rewarded mage to play with no defensive item or aggro item (they will be forced to buy a double mana item).
They did the mage update for give three version of a mage mana item: Luden Poke damage. Archangel Late game reward. Glp chase and slow for hit spell. Right now every mage will build: Archangel + Roa. Archangel + Luden. Only archangel if they've a mana refound ability. So i was wondering there will be some diversity on the game with the mana change? The answer is : Maybe on pro but in solo Q we're force to play a non mage for stay into mid. Assassin will bring up in pro and will be totally toxic if you play a truly mana gated champs. Tank will be too much overpowered against mage class (even vs lyandri class) because the mage would safe some of his mana for the adc/counter ingage the assassin. Ap jungler will get a buff for the D ring nerf (hello fiddlestick) but they will be a less good version of the actual mid lane and a more powerful version of the new mage. Playing as ap jungler or ap support reward better mana managing than a ap mid lane. ADC+Support will be more powerful. Honest opinion the mana change will just kill some champs and put other into a trash. If they wanted to do this mana update they should be looking at the conseguence instead of lowering their push skill.
If they don't want mage to clear wawe fast then add mr on minion so it can counter mage clear without any nerf that will bring the game even more confused than the actual one.
