Matchmaking is still the brainchild of a cretin.

Riot, seriously look at the ratio of win to loss for people who don't play LOL 12 hours a day. If I have to lose 7-8 games to win one, you've fucked up somewhere. Just one time I want to be the asshole that rolls over the other team, but in almost every game I'm playing against someone who is WAY more advanced and experienced than me. Instead of Hextech crates with a skin/icon/ward I don't want, why not offer "FIVE GAMES WHERE YOU ACTUALLY HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN AGAINST YOUR OPPONENT!!!!"

I'm not a programmer, but would it be that hard for your servers to recognize a pattern of "THIS-IS-A-NEW-ACCOUNT-AND-THEY'RE-THRASHING-ALL-COMERS."? That's when you put said smurf account into games with people who know what they're doing, not schleps like me who are fucking terrible. I play the damned game because it's fun and therapeutic, not to validate my existence. If I am constantly getting beat to the fucking ground by people who play the game relentlessly because they need to validate their existence. it's no longer fun and therapeutic.

Does that make sense, or is it too many swear words for you to take into account that you're failing at the matchmaking game?
