Liandry's Torment good on Veigar?

Well, there are games where sometimes I don't know what to get as a last item. Yeah, sometimes I'll get Guardian Angel or Banshee's Veil. I usually get, Deathfire Grasp, Sorcerer's Shoes, Rabadon's Deathcap, Void Staff, Zhonya's Hourglass as my 1st 5 items. I just wondering what will give me the most damage as my last item. I've been getting Rylai's Crystal Scepter as the sixth item but I was wondering if Liandry's Torment would give me more overall damage because of the 15+ spell pen. End game, I'll have around 900-1,000+ AP.

I would grab a rod of ages before/after the deathcap The spell pen on torment is nice and all, but the burn is not helpful at all since viegar is a pure burst mage. I guess it would be okay if you spent most of your time Q'ing champs in skirmishes, but you'd usually have R-W-E-Q combo'd and killed them.

What Lord Dusteon said, or a defensive item like item 3102 to make sure you're able to get your combo off.

Liandry's gives 15 spell pen and 50 AP. At that points, abyssal would be better (gives more AP and penetration) for damage and rylai's better for defence (and damage).

Liandry's as a late game item is not really good because the flat penetration works better early game, when champs don't have a whole lot of magic resistance. You would be better off with either a Banshee's or a GA instead on a lot of champs, Veigar included.

Lich bane would be better then Leandre's torment more damage in fights from spamming q and Veiger doesn't have sustain damage. I'm not good at mid though so don't 100% trust me.

I used to get Rod of Ages but not a fan of it anymore since it seems to slow down my damage.

I know Banshee's Veil is good and i do get it depending who I'm fighting but what I'm asking is what will give me the most damage as my last item. Abyssal wont work for me because I run away once i do my combo and Dark Matter is what does the most damage besides my ult. Considering I'll have 900--1,000 AP at the end of the game, would it better damage wise to get Liandry's Torment or Rylai's Crystal Scepter?

Edit: Also, I don't care about the burn on Liandry's Torment, its mainly for the 15+ spell pen.
