Matchmaking needs improvement...?

As time goes by, things change a lot. Im feeling that the system is trying to keep everyone at 50% win ratio. Previous seasons i always used to smurf and have more than 60-65% win ratio and getting easily to the division i deserve. Even without having to play meta champions or building specific items. Nowdays.. I feel that this belongs in the past. A new era has begun , an era that riot is promoting specific builds and champions in order to have more than 60% win ratio. You will have to play x2 or x3 games that you used to as a smurf without meta champions in order to get to the division you deserve.

Isnt it time for riot to make things like they used to be? Why are we promoting meta champions and builds? Why is not riot promoting "skill" in the game anymore? Why am i hearing from people complaints all the time about this matter? AND WHY is not riot doing anything about it?

What are your opinions about this guys? Has meta and 50% win ratio blinded us all? I think its time to ask for a change or the game will collapse sooner than you think.

League will never collapse. RIOT is well aware of how to keep players interested in the game.

However, I do agree with the win ratio issue and I think I know the answer. I have noticed that I too had a higher win ratio in the past and I believe it has changed because of how influential one player can be. I have noticed that if a player feeds, we always lose. In the past, you could still win with a feeding player if the rest of the team was good enough to carry. But now one player feeds and it's all over. It seems like somehow it's easier to lose if one player sucks or feeds, especially in the mid/late game.

I don't know how to fix this, but I believe RIOT is trying their best. RIOT is a great company that works hard to improve their game and help players.

The matchmaker seeks to make games fair. The natural result is that for most, win ratios eventually average to 50%. That is a biproduct, not the goal.
