i'm in silver 1, went against 3 platinums and a diamond, while my team was all silver and 1 person was a gold 5 ???
am i missing something did they just want me to lose? this matchmaking isn't even close?
and if its the mmr thing then that doesn't make any sense because there holding me in silver 1 for no reason? so what gives any ideas?
That was a ranked flex game, and the ranks you mentioned were their solo/duo queue ranks, which aren't the same. The solo/duo diamond for example was silver 1 in flex.
Ranked flex and ranked solo/duo have separate MMRs and ranks, and matchmaking goes off of your MMR in that particular queue. Since flex is a new queue this season, many players still haven't had a chance to reach their 'true' mmrs , and so theres lots of diamond level players who are only silver for now. It'll all shake out eventually, but sometimes there are going to be some rather spicy matches in flex (not to mention premades in flex can mix things up somewhat too).
yes it was a ranked flex but i thought i was looking at the ranking to the bottom right which was there flex rank and i saw the diamond and platinums. if they were really silver in flex then that's ok because the flex ranked should be separate.
i can see what your saying with it being new, but really they shouldn't go off MMR they should go off your current division because whats the point of the whole tier thing if they are going off your hidden MMR? if thats the case you could be stuck in a lower tier and never advance because ur playing higher tier people all the time.
