Say what you will about the new runes but I think they're more healthy than these ones.
Mostly because of the vast differences between them. Sure it'll be more to balance but it is if you think about it one of the mane issues for the current runes is that they are kinda similar in a sense.
Each tree has one main damage keystone, one sustain/shielding keystone and then something that focuses on utility (calling death fire utility kinda loosely because the dot can be annoying enemies trying to channel).
Being as how each rune/keystone is so different from the others it's a clearer case of 'pick this and I have to give that up'. Current runes mostly "feel like do I need more damage or can I go without damage" or if I'm playing a tanky champ "do I have hard CC" to me personally. Don't know how the stats from the runes will go but the fact that everyone has access to the same runes now every champ can be experimented with even because you aren't barred from playing with the 'correct' runes.
This is hopefully gonna throw the meta out of whack for a bit and allow from people to experiment more. That's really what I like most out of this though. The people that just spam whatever builds they see on mobaflare are gonna have to think more, which will be enjoyable to see. :D
