Double roa strategy

Let me start off by saying im in no way a good player and doubt that im even in the skill level of average players. Just some thoughts on things ive read.

So I recently ran into this way of snowballing ( on only certain champions ) harder if you can do it right. So the idea is pretty much the title. The point of it being that if you can get 2 roas on someone like Ryze, Swain or even Annie ( these being the main ones but have heard it working on others ) by around 20 mins in. Around 3-5 mins after the second one you become very difficult to deal with.

The idea is simple. Scaling seems to be a lot stronger this and last season mainly due to the nerfs on flat runes. So if you can get your second roa by at least 20-22 mins in you set yourself up for a very powerful late game ( or so it seems to me ). It just gives champions that scale well a level of scaling that makes them very powerful. But but but not to say it isnt without drawbacks.

Time: a lot of people feel like the time it takes to stack isnt worth the gold you put in.

No mmr/armor: you have a lot of health but stacking health still has counter builds as well as not scaling as much as armor or mmr.

Wasted unique: by the second one you have one wasted unique on an item and by lvl 18 you have 2 items with worthless uniques.

Edit: my friend brought up a good point

Dont fall behind: If you take this path you are setting your need to carry very high cause if you fall behind you have pretty much wasted your money and time.

theres more but I cant think of them atm. On the plus side however.

Insane amounts of ap: by the time you have the second roa stacked you should be able to have a rabadons ( or at least close to one ) giving you a huge boost in damage. As well as allowing you to have the highest ap possible without sacrificing essential items.

Lots of health: It may not scale as well but the point of it being that at the time it will be extremely nice to have. When you can burst down a team and walk out with a huge chunk of health it feels very nice.

Tons of mana: On some champions I cant stress how awesome this is. Mainly on Ryze but a few others can make use out of it with some cdr giving them a slightly more sustained burst.

Scaling fast: its pretty much a combo of all these but every minute you become worse and worse for the enemy team until they cant ignore you.

Bruiser capabilities: After you get your raba you can pretty much just make the enemy team hate you more buy building the much needed resistance.

So these are just my thoughts on it. Would love to hear from people about it whether it be positive or not and would like to implore people to at least give it a shot.

One final note Its not meant to be a top tier challenger league build rather just for snowballing faster and harder. Its a build purely with the idea of a solo que mentality and says im gonna end this to the best of my ability on my own.

Thanks for your time Dachinde ; )

Without even reading this, I can tell you that having 6 RoAs isn't really a bad thing. I've built multiple AP mids with nothing but RoAs just having fun with friends and dominated.

Syndra and 6 RoAs was just meant to be. Virtually infinite mana, tanky as hell for a mage, and sooooo much damage. Granted, I kinda got screwed in the runes because playing Syndra without CDR is just asking for issues, so I stacked CDR runes. Early game was horrible. Late game was disgusting.

EDIT: 6 RoAs never actually happened. I just grabbed as many as I could, as quickly as I could. I think I got to 3 1/2 before the game was over.

It actually works to build two of them if you're good at leveraging an advantage. You'd also want to get Archangel's to get the 200+ ap from all of that mana as well. It just doesn't always work because even if you ARE getting ahead enough to build them, you're losing team utility by midgame.

I'd just build item 3116 2nd

You could make the case on Swain though
