PSA: If you're tilted after a match has finished...

Don't start another one. Simple as that.

First, you're mad, and so your thoughts are off-balance. That means you'll be even quicker to anger should something go wrong in say, Champ Select or anywhere in-between.

Second, your reaction timing is not at the top because of the imbalanced state-of-mind so you're more prone to make mistakes which will get you even ANGRIER.

Third, by playing angry, you're doing prospective team-mates a disservice often by the poor way you interact with them in your hot-headed disposition.

So now that we've listed three reasons why you shouldn't start another game after being tilted by your previous one; here's some suggestions to help you calm down so, if desired, you can come back quicker to pick things back up.

First, take slow, deep breaths.

Second, try as best you can to think calmly and carefully about your performance in this hypothetical previous game. As much as you might think it was all your team's fault when you were angry, you might be able to pick out some goofs YOU made that might have been more to blame for tilting you. (I know that doesn't always apply, but it IS possible.)

Third, if needed, step away from the computer for a bit. Reorganize your thoughts, do something else (Read a book, go for a walk, whatever you want). Because the more you sit AT the computer, the more you'll be tempted to start another game while still angry and that's not going to help anyone, least of all, you.

If you've read this far, thank you for reading my thoughts on this subject, and GL and HF in your games!
