Why is there no team captain/shotcaller role in draft pick?

I love playing top lane and jungle and i really feel like people dont trust others enough to a fault about decision making. They let their biases cloud their judgement. Or they just plain think they are all that and a bag of chips.

The reason i started this is because ive done a couple ranked games today after a streak of norms while sitting at 0 lp and 6 losses.

First game i was playing morgana support. Me and our corki mid were defending mid outer turret against 4 enemies. we did manage to clear waves for about 2 and a half minutes. during this time im pinging for help. but they literally refused to help defend the turret i really dont know what possesses someone to literally ignore a big enemy push for 2 and a half minutes straight. No one came to help then they got the turret then they grabbed their third dragon afterwards. This third dragon and the map being very dangerous now because we lost our last outer turret just kept leading to losing more objectives like baron and our own buffs. i truly believe losing that turret was a huge turning point in the game. Before that we would win teamfights with 1 or 2 alive then after that we didnt win any fights and couldnt contest any turrets and we took no dragons or barons after either.

Second game i was playing jax and i was like 9-4. i got their top inhib down and we had a wave of super minions passing their blue buff (im purple side btw). Boom dragon spawns and my teams chilling around the tiny bush near the dragon. All the enemies are there and their top laners TP is down. im literally alone top with super minions and elixir of ruin playing as late game jax and dragon just spawned everyone but me is sitting around dragon doing a western cowboy era duel staredown and ima bout to knock on their nexus turrets doors and im tellin them what im gunna do and to poke and maybe force a fight but instead they back off because i wasn't there and im forced to retreat. they got caught on their retreat by their sej and they all got destroyed (i canceled my tp when i saw it start). We lost the game very decisively after this.

I just dont get why people dont trust others is it an ego thing? i mean your playing ranked so you obviously have to trust your allies. but people will ignore advice to a fault.

Can there be some kind of MMR/streak based automatic captain choosing?

how are you going to assign a captain/shotcaller with 5 random people that don't know each other playing together? That type of position is filled by teams when they know someone is good at shotcalling and by people that have good leadership skills within the group. Once again, please tell me how will you accomplish this with a group of random people that don't know each other?

Your solution to no one trusting anyone to make calls is assign a "captain" status to someone for people to trust to make calls?

...What?

You don't solve trust issues by putting someone in the middle and saying, "okay, trust him" it doesn't work like that. People are either going to follow shots called by the team or they won't. If, during the course of the game, you show that you are able to make decent calls, people are more likely to follow the calls you make. Some arbitrary "shotcaller/captain" status won't make people trust whoever has it. It might even make them even more resistant to following that person's calls.

No ones gonna listen to "captain" just cuz he got assigned it cuz mmr or some bullshit

The team is either capable of being compliant, then leadership will naturally spawn.. or it isn't in which no system will solve that

The position of Team Leader is unofficial, and requires skills which, officially, cannot be quantified by rank or MMR or KDA or any other measuring stick in LoL. These include charisma and decision-making skills, which every narcissist and their mom will claim to have up the wazoo, but in practice, it's not something you see often. Also having 5 people work as a collective rather than 4 people laboring under a Captain Vainglory or a flat-out idiot is both better for morale and more tactically sound.

I mean, it's great when you have a team of people who trust each other, and one of them happens to be good at helping the others stay focused and do what they do best, and has a fairly good idea of what the team needs at any given time. Outside of that situation, and especially in Solo Queue (Gank a complete stranger online for free, no credit card required!), the position is untenable, particularly if one takes a more authoritarian stance, as you imply. If you try to micro-manage a MOBA like you would an RTS or MMO, you're gonna have a bad time.
