Should Wards Block Thresh Lantern?

I ask because I'm actually not able to make up my own mind on the matter.

On the one hand, you can call it counterplay and a healthy, somewhat-funny response to a very powerful tool in a champion's kit (or kind of like warding behind you while someone's chasing with attack-move). This is the kind of thing that's shaped League in the past (like Trynd and others being able to pass through walls) and could make for some interesting decision-making in the future when it comes to abilities and their mechanics.

On the other side of things, it feels like an unintentional interaction and doesn't feel like fair counterplay. As an example, displacing someone out of a lantern they've already grabbed requires some pretty intense timing (or luck), something to be rewarded for, something fair. Personally I have a hard time saying the same for placing wards, which is really just taking advantage of clicking priority. In other words, I'm not sure it should be considered a 'mechanical outplay' if someone blocks a lantern with wards, nor it be a mechanical requirement to be able to hover your mouse through the wards and find the lantern.

Thoughts?

IMO anything that involves blocking your opponents cursor is not good because it is incredibly frustrating. You've seen the videos of people autoing a minion or a tower instead of the 2 hp champion. It is the most frustrating thing in this game and situations where someone drops a ward on thresh's lantern to block it might as well be equally frustrating, as well as not really that skillful to execute. It is silly, but all you need to do is press one button on the lantern and your enemy will have a hard time using it.
